Incoming Freshman Registration

Dear 8th grade students and parents,

School registration for the 2019-2020 school year is already upon us.  Please go to SVHS.LCSD2.ORG and see the “registration letter” for important information regarding start dates, fee’s and other important information at your leisure.  The high school has also sent out an email with the contents of that letter included.

Class registration will also be in full swing on the week of March 18th.  During that week our counselors will be in the Middle School working with your students on registration and filling out their academic plan.  On Monday of that week they will review classes with the students and show them where to access the academic plan and class registration.

On Tuesday March 19th there will be parent meetings held at Star Valley High School in the Auditorium.  At this meeting counselors will guide you as parents as to information regarding classes and registration as well as other information as it pertains to Star Valley High School and your incoming freshman student.  The times for those meetings are as follows: 7:30 AM, 12 Noon, and 7:00 PM.  Please try to attend one of these meetings.  Bring your students with you as it will be an opportunity for you to visit with them about their classes and make some informed decisions.

The rest of that week will be spent at the middle school checking kids completed academic plans (if they have done it at home with you) and helping kids fill out their academic plan (if they have not completed it at home with you).  We strongly encourage you as parents to log on with your student and be a part of the academic planning process.  Again, we will go through all of this with your students on that Monday and with you on that Tuesday.

We look forward to our relationship for the next four years and if you need more help or have further questions please call our office or find us at one of the parent meetings where we will answer questions for you and help in any way we can.

Thank you so much, and Go Braves!
