Tryouts for the golf team will take place on Aug 11-12. All players, excepting those with varsity experience last season, will play a supervised round with a coach or qualified volunteer.

Girls: We need more girls on the team! We will work with beginner freshmen and sophomore girls to get you started and teach you the game. If you want to tryout, make sure you can walk 18 holes, advance the ball consistently, and have a working knowledge of how to play the game. 

Boys: Before deciding to tryout for the team, play several rounds and keep an absolutely HONEST score, no gimmies, no second ball. That’s how your round for tryouts will be scored. If you can’t shoot at or close to the following score for 18 holes on the Afton Valli Vu course, consider practicing and trying out next year.

Freshmen 120 or better
Sophomores 106 or better
Juniors 95 or better
Seniors 88 or better

You MUST have your physical and permission papers turned in to the main office BEFORE teeing off on your first hole of tryouts.
